Research Projects
ALN has developed extensive research experience through its participation in various national-level research projects.
TOMAGROUP: Development of sustainable biostimulants for circular fertilization in tomato cultivation
The main objective of the GO TOMAGROUP project is to valorize discarded tomatoes by using them as raw material for the development of new sustainable agricultural biostimulants. These aim to improve the growth, yield, stress response, and fruit quality of tomato crops, thereby reducing the environmental impact of this significant agri-food waste and enhancing productivity and resource-use efficiency for farmers and businesses in the sector.

DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW BIOINSECTICIDE PRODUCT FOR THE CONTROL OF FRANKLINIELLA OCCIDENTALIS POPULATIONS THROUGH THE VALORIZATION OF ORNAMENTAL BOTANICAL SPECIES – BIORNAM
Project granted by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Multi-Regional Operational Programme for Smart Growth.
OBJETIVE: To identify, optimize and develop extraction methodologies for valuable compounds from new natural plant extracts to formulate and produce a new residue-free product for the control of the Frankliniella occidentalis pest.
As a final result, ALN will launch the production of a new biocide targeting one of today’s major agricultural pests (thrips), effective in both intensive greenhouse and open-field farming, with higher insecticidal efficacy than currently available products.
